Badscience.net
JP Renaud | September 2 2007A while ago, I discovered badscience.net. This blog is written by Ben Goldacre, the Guardian columnist (Yes, the column is called “Bad Science”…). It is a very interesting blog and luckily the traffic is not too large which makes it easy to follow. Basically, badscience.net reports about scientific “scams” and science as reported in the media. There was a lot about electrosensitivity, the MMR scare (and the outrageous coverage from the Observer) or homeopathy etc… It’s usually quite medical (Ben Goldacre is a doctor after all, a real one I mean…) but he tackled other issues such as the (failed) perpetual motion demo by the Irish company Steorn for instance. This is a very pleasant read and I highly recommend it.
